Took this beautiful yet sad shot of these kids who live under the poverty line in India. They were at the front entrance of Jaisalmer Fort in Rajasthan. There were lots of poor vendors outside selling items to the tourist I saw the mother who was one of these poor vendors and would earn less than $1.00US/AUSTRALIAN a day, and would use this money to survive and feed her children. These kids don't look like they go to school as i seen them just playing in this dirty play area all day.
Majority of people in India lives way below the poverty line (less than $1.00 a day) and it's common to see families living in makeshift shanty homes, slums. There are lots of poverty in India and a lot of street children who beg on the street as young as 5 years old. Very sad.
