This is a view of Ramsay Gardens, which is situated just off the Castlehill (Castle esplanade entrance) high above and overlooking Prines Street, the main thoroughfare of Edinburgh. Originally built as student residences by Ramsay Gardens.
A wonderful set of now VERY expensive apartment houses with their white walls and red roofs are a highly visible landmark of Edinburgh.
Designed in 1893 in baronial style by the pioneering town planner and architect Sir Patrick Geddes (1854-1932).
I took this as part of an art project I was doing at the time a few years ago, but they're unchanged and still very much in evidence today.
