London from the British Library
This picture was taken at the British Library in London. The shot was taken through a metal globe stature in front of the Library looking up to one of the high buildings nearby.
The shot was taken with a Canon 350D
Shutter Speed 1/200 sec
I took this shot because I liked the juxtaposition of the view through the curving metal wire frame of the globe against the straight lines of the building behind.
The light was changing every 5 minutes from bright strong light to dull overcast gloom.
I have done some image manipulation such as bringing out some of the shadows on the windows of the building and boosting the contrast but apart from that the picture is as it was.
London is full of interesting buildings and shapes the trick is catching the light just right.
